MY COMPUTER WON'T TURN ON!

This is the worst! I really want to get my work/studies/game on done and my computer just won't power on/turn on/boot up. I've tried all sorts of things like pressing the power button, checking the cable and even trying a different outlet, but nothing is working! Perhaps there's something wrong with the hard drive? I'm totally confused. Any tips?
